LOA Streamlined Process: Everything You Need to Know About the Smarter, Faster Way to Get Your LOAs Approved

If you’re a Part 91 operator looking to streamline your LOA application process but don’t know where to start, we’ve got you covered.

In a nutshell, the streamlined process for LOAs (often shortened to SLOAs) was put into practice in 2023 to allow operators to apply and receive multiple LOAs at once, greatly reducing the time spent on any edits and back-and-forth to improve operational efficiency while still prioritizing safety.

To apply using the SLOA process, you’ll need the following items:

  • Aircraft Statement of Capability (ASOC)
  • Training Statement of Compliance (TSOC)
  • Procedures Statement of Compliance (PSOC)
  • Some additional information depending on the LOAs requested.

Then, instead of submitting one application per LOA, you’d select the LOAs you’re applying for within one application document and submit that to your FSDO for review.
